My name is Jamilah Pitts, the Founder and CEO of Jamilah Pitts Consulting, a firm designed to support the liberation, intergenerational healing and holistic development of students and communities of color through an emphasis on education and wellness.
I partner with schools, organizations, and leaders that serve and support BIPOC communities.

Jamilah crafts training sessions, workshops and professional development opportunities that center anti - racist, anti - oppression and social justice practices. This arc of trainings is designed to gather data on where your team is and grow your knowledge and practices based on a continuum of guided, critical learning opportunities. Overtime, your team will leave this series with a deeper understanding of race and racism, its impact on society and schools, and tools on how to create and sustain liberatory spaces.

This arc of training sessions is designed with teachers and students in mind! This series is designed to provide teachers with resources, tools, and frameworks for creating culturally responsive, anti - racist, anti - oppressive (liberatory) educational spaces where students can thrive. This is an ideal series for educators who are ready to shift their teaching practice and want to dive into the "how".

Social justice education and academic skills do not have to be mutually exclusive. Jamilah designs curricula that centers anti - racist, anti - oppression, and social justice learning.
CUSTOMIZED ANTI-RACISM WORK
In partnerships with schools, non profits and institutions, Jamilah offers a deeply comprehensive and holistic approach to identifying and dismantling systems of oppression that permeate and are perpetuated within institutions. Jamilah’s approach moves away from a “one size fits all”, and is instead embedded in identifying racism, other forms of oppression and developing strategies to achieve liberation.
